Permits & Placement
Do I need a permit for a dumpster on my driveway?
No. Placing a dumpster on private property — a driveway, yard, or lot you control — never requires a permit anywhere in our service area.
What if the dumpster needs to sit in the street in Ardmore?
The City of Ardmore requires a right-of-way use permit under Chapter 25, Article IV, Section 25-86 of its Code of Ordinances for containers placed in a public street or right-of-way. No specific fee is published, so call the city to confirm the current fee, or see our permit guide for details.
What about permits in unincorporated Carter County?
Communities like Fox, Dripping Springs, and Provence don't have their own town government, so right-of-way and permit questions there go through Carter County's Board of County Commissioners rather than a city hall.
Do Healdton, Lone Grove, and the other Carter County towns have their own permit rules?
Yes. Each incorporated town — Healdton, Lone Grove, Wilson, Ratliff City, Dickson, Gene Autry, Springer, and Tatums — runs its own separate permitting process. Contact that town's office directly if your placement needs a right-of-way permit.
Do Marietta and Sulphur follow Ardmore's permit rules?
No. Marietta falls under Love County and Sulphur under Murray County, each with its own city permitting process, separate from both Ardmore's and Carter County's rules. Contact the relevant city office directly if your dumpster needs to sit off private property.
What Can Go In The Dumpster
What can I throw away in a rented dumpster?

Can I throw away paint, batteries, or cleaners?
No — per Oklahoma DEQ guidance, batteries, paints, cleaners, automotive products, and pesticides are considered household hazardous waste and shouldn't go in with regular trash or a rented dumpster. These need separate drop-off or disposal.
Can I put old computers or monitors in the dumpster?
We'd recommend recycling them instead. Oklahoma's OCERA program (Oklahoma Computer Equipment Recovery Act) makes recycling computers and monitors easy and often free, which is a better option than sending working electronics to a landfill.
Can I put tires or propane tanks in the dumpster?

Can I dispose of storm debris after severe weather?

How does delivery work?
Once you book by phone, we schedule a delivery window and our driver places the container where you'd like it, checking for solid, level ground and clear overhead space first.
How much space do I need to clear before delivery?
